Vehicles

Start / System / Vehicles

Information you enter about cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, planes, etc. is stored in vehicle files. You can have as many different vehicles as you wish, and you can switch freely between them. You might want to start with one file per vehicle, and then create alternate files that represent different setups, tracks, events, etc.

To manage your vehicles, open the navigation menu, open the System page, then select Vehicles.

You can work with vehicles (create, save, rename, and delete them) by selecting commands from the Action Bar.

To create a new vehicle, press the add button (plus sign) and enter a name.

To copy an existing vehicle using a new name, select the existing vehicle, press the copy button and enter a new name.

To rename an existing vehicle, select the vehicle, then press the pencil button or pick Rename from the menu, and then enter a new name.

To delete an existing vehicle, select the vehicle, then press the trash can button or pick Delete from the menu.

You can create, rename, or delete vehicles at any time.

A long press on a vehicle will take you to the vehicle details page.

All changes that you make to vehicles are saved automatically. You never need to remember to explicitly save your vehicles. Data that you have most recently entered (as well as which vehicle) will be remembered from your last session. Therefore, if you only work with one car and one set of data, or if you do not wish to be able to switch between different vehicle files, you may never need to use the Vehicles page.

The name of the current data vehicle is shown at the top of calculation pages unless you disable this option in Settings.
