The intercooler efficiency page uses the following inputs:
Intercooler outlet temperature
Intercooling medium temperature
The output from this calculation includes a percentage efficiency and a temperature reduction. If an intercooler were 100% efficient it would reduce the air temperature to the same temperature as the intercooling medium temperature. Intercooler efficiency depends on the physical specifications and design of the intercooler, plus how it is installed in the vehicle.
