Start / Terms / Driving Distances
The driving distance inputs are used to determine your total fuel usage, which is used to determine cost.
Commute distance – Enter the average distance of your commute to work, school, or other daily activities.
Commute frequency – Enter the number of times per week you drive your commute.
You can enter the commute distance as one-way or as round trip distance. Just be sure to enter the frequency to match. In other words, if you drive two miles to work and two miles back home, five days per week, you could use a distance of four miles, the round trip distance, and a frequency of five, or you could use a distance of two miles and a frequency of ten.
Additional daily distance – Enter any additional, non-commute driving that you do on an average day.
Additional weekly distance – Enter any additional driving that you do on a weekly basis.
Additional monthly distance – Enter any additional driving that you do on a monthly basis.
Additional yearly distance – Enter any additional driving, such as vacations, that you do on an annual basis.
% highway – For each distance, specify the percentage of this distance that is driven on the highway. Calculate the percentage by distance driven, not by time driven. When no highway driving applies, enter 0. When the corresponding distance is 0, it doesn't matter what percentage is specified.
